Everything you need to know about Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Darbar’

Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Darbar’ has wrapped up shooting and is in post production to storm theaters worldwide on Pongal 2020.  The film is produced by Lyca Productions and is directed by A.R. Murugadoss with Anirudh providing the music.

A.R. Murugadoss in his recent interview has shared many awesome tidbits about ‘Darbar’ and for starters he has made it clear that the story does not contain any politics in it but instead has the Thalaivar playing an honest cop like the one he played as Alex Pandian in ‘Moondru Mugam’.  Rajini’s character name in the film is Aditya Arunachalam.  While Nayanthara plays the female lead opposite Rajini, Nivetha Thomas plays his grown up daughter.  Yogi Babu is taking care of the comedy department.

Bollywood hero Suniel Shetty is playing the chief antagonist in ‘Darbar’ while Prateik Babbar, Yogaraj Singh (Cricketer Yuvraj Singh/’s father), Thambi Ramaiah and Sriman play important roles.  Following a long tradition veteran singer S.P. Balasubramaniam will be crooning the opening song for Thalaivar and as in ‘Petta’ Anirudh has come up with mass numbers.  While Ram Lakshman are taking care of the stunts, Peter Hein has also done a special mass fight that will be one of the highlights.
