"The party crashers are here to make you laugh with all guns blazing (sic)," tweeted Mythri Movie Makers, plugging the trailer for 'Happy Birthday'. The July 8th release is directed by Ritesh Rana.
Right at the outset, the meaning of surreal comedy is explained literally. And then, as the trailer advances, we realize that Lavanya Tripathi's character could be under threat. Satya runs professional killing services in a scenario where guns are easily available.
Vennela Kishore's Union Minister doesn't reveal his cards. Naresh Agastya and Vidyullekha Raman look flummoxed here and there.
'Room No. 6969' and 'Pookay' are obviously meant to be double entendre. Terms like 'Double Action' suggest that the trailer hasn't revealed something very important.
Kaala Bhairava has set the tunes, while Suresh Sarangam has cranked the camera. Production Design is by Narni Srinivas, fights are by Shankar Uyyala. Produced by Chiranjeevi (Cherry) and Hemalatha Pedamallu, 'Happy Birthday' has dialogues written by director Ritesh Rana.
