Director Halitha Shameem made her debut with the 2014 movie Poovarasam Pee Pee which was critically acclaimed, and followed it up with her second movie Sillukaruppatti which was released last December to good reviews and turned commercially successful as well.

The anthology flick about love featured Samuthirakani, Sunainaa, Sarah, Venkatesh, Leela Samson, Kra magazine Sreeram, Manikandan and Nivedhitta Sathish and had music by Pradeep Kumar. Even during the release, the movie received great reviews from many celebrities. Now, Sai Pallavi has watched the movie with her parents, and has mailed Halitha, appreciating it.

Halitha tweeted "Lockdown had me depressed for most of the times.And then, The angel messaged me!" and shared Sai Pallavi's mail which read "My parents and I were so emotional after watching the film. I'm very happy for you. Thank you for making us feel so warm. May you create more gems like this".
