A coronavirus patient from Greater Noida has allegedly been molested by two staffers at a private hospital in the city.

The 20-year-old woman had recently given birth to a child and was being administered treatment for Covid-19 at the Sharda Hospital. An FIR has reportedly been registered against the two accused - a sanitation worker and a store worker - based on a complaint filed by the hospital authorities in the Knowledge Park police station. "As the matter came to light, the two were immediately removed from the job and their hiring agency was informed about it. They have tendered an apology. On our part, we gave a complaint to the police so that action could be taken against the two," a spokesperson for the hospital informed a news agency.

The accused, Luvkush and Praveen, have been arrested and booked under section 354 (attempt to outrage modesty) of the Indian Penal Code.
