Popular film financier Anubuchezhian is an integral part of the Tamil film industry who bankrolls many films under production and also produces and distributes films under his banner Gopuram Films.

Anbuchezhian's daughter Sushmitha an MBA graduate has now followed in her father's footsteps and has entered the theater business by opening a new state of the art three-screen multiplex called Gopuram Cinemas in Madurai.

Gopuram Cinemas is equipped with the latest Laser and 3D projection, Dolby screen and four-way surround sound system and also plush and comfortable seats with a grand ambience that promises to give the Madurai audience a new movie viewing experience.

Sushmitha speaking to newsmen also revealed that she has bought the Raj theater in Saidapet, Chennai and has started work to convert it into a six-screen multiplex and is also looking to acquire other properties to her Gopuram Cinemas fold.
