Godavari Express derails near Hyderabad

In an incident of rail accident, on Wednesday, six coaches of Godavari Express derailed near Hyderabad. There was some tension and rumour-mongering when the accident news surfaced in the media. However, officials and the general public heaved a sigh of relief to note that there were no casualties.

In a statement, South Central Railway (SCR) confirmed that the accident didn’t result in any injuries. Here is what the official statement said: “Train No.12727 (Visakhapatnam – Secunderabad) Godavari Express got derailed between Bibinagar to Ghatkesar. Six coaches derailed. There are no casualties/ injuries.”

“Passengers are being cleared by the same train by detaching the derailed coaches,” the statement added.
