In a recent interview, Manchu Vishnu said that ‘Ginna’ has been made on a budget of Rs 18 Cr. Those who have watched the comedy entertainer are of the view that the claim is ridiculous. Cheap production values are what are on display in the film.
And, by the way, the ‘Oyo’ jokes are back. When ‘Son Of India’ was released in February, trolls gleefully joked that young couples looking for private space were opting for theatres screening the film so that they can save money by not booking Oyo rooms. The same joke is being repeated in the wake of the release of ‘Ginna’.
Trolls are also mocking Vishnu for recently saying that a star hero has been sponsoring targeted online harassment of his family.
The trolls are not far off the mark in mocking the low collections elicited by ‘Ginna’. In the US, only 50 audience members are said to have watched ‘Ginna’ on Day 1. The film released in 17 locations, but it failed to collect even 500 dollars.
It’s telling that Sunny Leone and Payal Rajput have scored yet another flop.
