‘Gargi’, directed by Gautham Ramachandran, is hitting the screens in Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil on July 15. The trailer of the Telugu version was today unveiled via Natural Star Nani’s social media handles. “Got to watch this beautiful film before release. ‘Gargi’ is thrilling, gripping and thought-provoking,” wrote the ‘Ante Sundaraniki’ actor, who has already caught up with the drama.
Sai Pallavi, who recently shone like a jewel in the mundane ‘Virata Parvam’, is the female protagonist who has played a school teacher. Her father gets detained by a heavy-handed police force. Humiliation and mental torture follow. The ‘Fidaa’ and ‘Love Story’ actress has surely played her career’s most emotionally draining character as a daughter who ends up battling for her father’s freedom in the court.
The film seems to take the form of a legal drama.
Aishwarya Lekshmi, who was recently seen in ‘Godse’, has a key role alongside the likes of Kaali Venkat, RS Shivaji, Kalaimaamani Saravanan, Jayaprakash, Prathap, Sudha, among others.
Presented by Rana Daggubati, the film has cinematography by Sraiyanti and Premkrishna Akkatu. Govind Vasantha has handled the music department, while Shafique Mohamed Ali has edited ‘Gargi’. The dialogues and lyrics for the Telugu version are by Rakkendu Mouli.
