In an extremely peculiar case of theft, a complaint has been lodged by the Department of Animal Husbandry in the Birur district of Karnataka of cow dung worth Rs. 1.25 lakh being stolen from their domain.

The officials from the department registered the complaint at the Yagati police station stating that nearly 25 to 40 truckloads of cow dung, used for agricultural and horticultural activities, and extensively used by farmers as a fertilizer for farming activities, went missing.

After a brief investigation, the police located the cow dung at a private land of the same locality. An FIR has reportedly been filed on the owner of the land.
