Director Pa Ranjith's next 'Natchathiram Nagargirathu' will be a romantic musical film, slated to arrive on August 31. The acclaimed filmmaker is back in the love genre after his debut film 'Attakathi', which was released in 2012. The film is not only based on love but it also documents the politics behind it.

'Natchathiram Nagargirathu' will voice out for queer relationships and also will take a stand against caste politics, honour killings and much more. On August 28, a premiere screening of the movie took place in Mumbai for the celebrities. Renowned filmmakers Anurag Kashyap and Nandita Das watched 'Natchathiram Nagargirathu'.

Reports suggest that Anurag Kashyap reportedly bowed to Ranjith and hugged the director post the screening as he loved the film. He also wished Pa Ranjith a huge success for ‘Natchathiram Nagargirathu’. The photos of Anurag Kashyap giving a hug to Ranjith are now going viral on social media. Nandita Das is also spotted with the director in one of the images.

Tenma composed the musical score of the movie with lyrics written by Uma Devi. 'Natchathiram Nagargirathu' stars Kalaiyarasan, Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, Hari Krishnan, Vinoth, Subathra Robert, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Regin Rose, Damu, Gnanaprasad, Vinsu Rachel Sam, Arjun Prabhakaran, Uthaiya Surya, Stephen Raj, Sherin Celin Mathew, Manisa Tait in the major roles.
