Budding actress Kavya Thapar of 'Ek Mini Katha' and 'Ee Maaya Peremito' fame is in trouble. She was arrested by Juhu Police on Thursday for rear-ending a stationary vehicle under the influence of alcohol and for allegedly assaulting a female police officer who confronted her.

The allegedly manhandled constable was a part of the Nirbhaya squad of Juhu police station. The incident took place at the JW Marriott Hotel, where the actress reportedly crashed her vehicle into a parked vehicle. As per the constable, the actress abused the team and grabbed her by the uniform collar when she tried to stop her. The officer then arrested the actress, who was returning from a party along with a friend.

The actress, who is 26, has been booked for rash driving (section 279), assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of duty (section 353), intentional insult (section 504), voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from duty (section 332) and mischief causing damage to the amount of Rs 50 (section 427).
