Deadly earthquake claims over 130 lives

A powerful deadly earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3 killed atleast 137 people when it hit Iraq's city of Halabja which is close to the Iraq-Iran border. The tragic incident has at least 1000 people with serious injuries as well.
Iraq's Meteorological organisation has advised it citizens to stay away from buildings and not use elevators as well. Pakistan, Lebanon, Kuwait and Turkey also experienced the subsequent shocks of the powerful earthquake.
Iran's President Hassan Rouhani has ordered rescue and relief missions on an emergency basis in addition to schools being declared holidays. It is also notable that in the year 2003, an earthquake measured at 6.6 richter scale killed about 26,000 people.
