Drugs racket: Noted Telugu actors, others receive ED notice

In 2017, more than a dozen Tollywood personalities were interrogated by the Excise and Prohibition Department of Telangana in connection with a drugs racket. None of them has been found guilty so far. There are said to be mere witnesses.
Four years later, the issue is back in the news. This time, it's because the Enforcement Directorate has issued notices to 12 Tollywood personalities. Reportedly, it is in connection with a drugs racket that is also linked to a money laundering case.
As per reports, here are the names of those who received the notices: Rakul Preet Singh, Rana Daggubati, Ravi Teja, director Puri Jagannadh, yesteryear actress and producer Charmme Kaur, actress Mumaith Khan, and others.
"From August 31 to September 22, these 12 persons were asked to appear before the ED officials," a daily reported.
Dates on which the celebs will be questioned by the ED:
Puri Jagannadh: August 31
Rakul Preet: September 6
Rana Daggubati: Sept 8
Ravi Teja: Sept 9
Mumaith Khan: November 15
