‘Drishyam 3’ New Release Date Announced!

The release date for ‘Drishyam 3’, the highly anticipated film from Malayalam cinema’s blockbuster duo Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph, has been rescheduled. Actor Mohanlal shared the official announcement regarding this change via his social media handles.

The film was originally slated for a theatrical release on April 2. However, due to unavoidable circumstances and the current unstable conditions in Gulf countries, the release has reportedly been postponed.

According to the latest update, ‘Drishyam 3’ will now release worldwide on May 21, 2026. Notably, May 21 marks Mohanlal’s birthday. To celebrate his 66th birthday, the actor has decided to gift fans this high-octane thriller featuring the iconic character Georgekutty.

Maintaining the trademark mystery of the franchise, Mohanlal posted:

“The past is never silent… it waits. Georgekutty is coming – May 21, 2026.”

Director: Jeethu Joseph (famed for Drishyam 1 & 2).

Producer: Antony Perumbavoor (Aashirvad Cinemas).

Cast: Mohanlal, Meena, Ansiba Hassan, and Esther Anil return as Georgekutty’s family.

Plot: This is expected to be ‘The Final Chapter’ of the series.

While the original Malayalam version hits screens in May, the Hindi remake starring Ajay Devgn is planned for release on October 2, 2026. Official announcements regarding the Tamil and Telugu versions are expected soon.

With the first two installments being major milestones in Indian cinema, fan anticipation is at an all-time high to see how Georgekutty protects his family in this final showdown.
