Dil Raju, a prominent figure in the Telugu film industry, recently convened a joint meeting with the Telugu Film Chamber and Telangana Film Chamber to address concerns and uncertainties surrounding film releases. This meeting comes in the wake of Mega Star Chiranjeevi receiving the prestigious Padma Vibhushan award, the second-highest civilian honor, from the Union Government on Republic Day.
To celebrate Chiranjeevi's remarkable achievement and honor his illustrious career, a grand felicitation function is being planned. Dil Raju shared, "A collective decision on industry issues will be taken in the Chamber Executive Body Meeting. We aim to address problems inclusively. Personally, I don't intend to be the president in the next term. Today, we all met Chiranjeevi on behalf of the Chamber to express our admiration. We are planning to honor him, and further details will be revealed soon."
Dil Raju also detailed a meeting with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, where industry-related problems were discussed. "Recently, we met Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He expressed his interest in discussing the problems related to the film industry and finding solutions."
During the meeting, Dil Raju addressed concerns related to film releases and shared that a resolution had been reached. This resolution ensures clarity in release schedules, eliminating potential conflicts and providing a structured framework for filmmakers and distributors.
As part of the resolution, the film "Eagle" will have a solo release on February 9, 2023, as originally planned, avoiding a clash with the release of "Devara." Dil Raju clarified that if "Devara" does not release on its scheduled date of April 5, their film "Family Star" will be released on that date. This arrangement ensures successful theatrical runs for both films without competing for screens and audiences.
The joint meeting facilitated open discussions and negotiations among chamber members, leading to a mutually agreed-upon plan for film releases. Dil Raju provided updates on the release plans:
"Eagle" will have a solo release on February 9, 2023, as initially planned.
The producer of "Ooru Parama Bhairavakona" has voluntarily shifted the release date to February 16, 2023, to avoid clashing with "Eagle."
The producers of "Yatra" and "Lal Salaam" were approached, but they were unable to accommodate changes in their release schedules.
Dil Raju emphasized that the majority of theaters have been reserved for "Eagle," ensuring a wide release and maximizing its potential for success.
The Film Chamber hall hosted the event, where Dil Raju addressed the media and shared the progress made in resolving film release conflicts. This announcement brings clarity and reassurance to filmmakers and distributors, enabling them to plan their releases strategically and avoid unnecessary competition.
The felicitation function for Chiranjeevi is expected to be a grand affair, attended by prominent personalities from the film industry and beyond. Further details about the event will be revealed soon.
