Dhanush’s Telugu-Tamil bilingual ‘SIR’ is up for a theatrical release on February 17, 2023. The new release date was made official today by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.
“A slight delay but the wait is worth it. With renewed spirit, We will be bringing #Vaathi #SIRMovie to the theaters on 17 Feb 2023 (sic),” the makers wrote.
The film’s shoot is over. On Thursday, a poster in which Dhanush is seen pulverizing baddies was released.
Co-starring Malayalam star Samyuktha Menon (on whom and Dhanush the recently-released song ‘Maastaru Maastaru’ is shot), Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Samuthirakani, Thotapalli Madhu, Narra Sreenu, Pammi Sai, Hyper Adhi and others, the film has music by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by J Yuvaraj, and production design by Avinash Kolla.
The film’s story revolves around the education mafia. The semi-period outing will be released as ‘Vaathi’ in Tamil. Director Venky Atluri has roped in editor Navin Nooli. The filmmaker is trying a new genre in his career.
