Dhanush's debut directorial 'Pa Paandi' which has unanimous acclaim from critics as well as movie buffs has been doing very well in commercial terms also. The film's Box Office prospects has been steadily increasing from the day 1, mainly due to the positive word of mouth generated by the audience after watching the film.

Starring Rajkiran in the lead role, 'Pa Paandi' released in 21 screens across Chennai on April 14, 2017 which was Tamil New Year Festival holiday. The film has had 165 shows screened in its first three day weekend including special morning shows on all the three days. With this the film has collected Rs.46,29,820 with 95% occupancy on an average.

The City Box Office trade circles call it an 'Excellent Opening' and the collections have been steadily increasing from one day to the next.
