As we all know, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' was scheduled for a grand release in June earlier. Reports broke out that the film was delayed till July. Hence, Sun Pictures announced that Dhanush's 50th film 'Raayan' is coming to cinemas in June.

'Raayan' was expected to be a solo release on June 13 according to the sources. But the latest buzz is that Chiyaan Vikram starrer 'Thangalaan' is all set to clash with the film on June 13. An official confirmation from the makers is expected soon. Directed by Pa Ranjith, it is going to be a magnum opus historical action drama film with a huge star cast.

The film stars Vikram, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathy, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Daniel Caltagirone, Harikrishnan Anbudurai and others. 'Thangalaan' produced by Studio Green, Jio Studios and Neelam Productions has music composed by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography handled by A. Kishor Kumar and editing by Selva RK.
