Dhanush after delivering back to back critically acclaimed and commercial blockbuster films 'Vada Chennai', 'Asuran' and 'Pattaas' has completed 'Jagame Thandiram' directed by Karthik Subbaraj which will be one of the first films to release soon after the COVID 19 lockdown ends. He is on the verge of completing his next 'Karnan' directed by Maari Selvaraj and will soon star shooting for 'D43' directed by Karthik Naren and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films.

Dhanush tasted huge success with his first directorial venture 'Paa Paandi' starring Raj Kiran and Revathi in the lead roles. He started shooting his next ambitious project 'Naan Rudran' in late 2018 produced by Sri Thenandal Films with a huge budget but due to financial issues it was put on the backburner.

Now reliable sources have stated that during the time that Dhanush got in the lockdown he has worked with various avenues to resume his dream project titled 'Naan Rudran' set in the pre-independence era. The ensemble star cast includes Nagarjuna, S.J. Suryah, Srikanth, Sarathkumar, Aditi Rao Hydari and Anu Emmanuel. Stay tuned for more about this super exciting project.
