Dhanush, one of Tamil cinema's most revered actors, recently celebrated a significant milestone with his 50th film, "Raayan", in which he both acted and directed. The film has garnered widespread critical acclaim and achieved remarkable commercial success, shattering numerous box office records.

As per the trade reports, "Raayan" has grossed over ₹152.7 crores at the global box office within just 17 days of its release. The gangster revenge drama continues to perform strongly in theatres, holding its ground despite the release of other big films. "Raayan" has already made history as the first A-rated Tamil film to hit the ₹100 crore mark, and now, it has set a new benchmark as the first A-rated Tamil film to cross ₹150 crores.

This achievement marks "Raayan" as the highest-grossing film in Dhanush's illustrious career, as well as the highest-grossing A-rated film in Tamil cinema. Dhanush has now joined the ranks of Tamil cinema's elite, becoming the fifth actor to enter the prestigious ₹150 crore club and the first among tier 2 actors to reach this milestone. "Raayan" is set to make its debut on OTT platforms by the end of this month.
