Deepika Padukone tests positive for COVID-19

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, as per reports. The news comes hours after it was reported that Deepika's father Prakash Padukone, mother Ujjala and sister Anisha tested positive for the virus.
Deepika is currently residing with her parents in Bangalore. Confirming the news with media, Prakash Padukone's close friend and director at Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy (PPBA), Vimal Kumar, said, "Around 10 days back, Prakash, his wife (Ujjala) and second daughter (Anisha), they developed symptoms and got themselves tested and the results came out to be positive. They got themselves isolated but after a week Prakash's fever didn't come down, so last Saturday, he was admitted to a hospital here in Bengaluru. He is okay now."
Adding that Prakash Padukone's condition is improving and that he is expected to be discharged soon, Vimal Kumar mentioned, "All his parameters are fine, his wife and daughter are at home and he too will be hopefully discharged in 2-3 days."
