Ever since the pandemic began, numerous organizations/firms have suspended a number of employee benefits, besides announcing massive pay cuts. For a change, here is a story of a company doing the opposite for Covid-hit employees.

Borosil Ltd. and Borosil Renewables Ltd. has announced that an employee who loses life due to COVID-19 will still be considered the organization's employee for two years. As per this, his or her family will continue to receive the salary for the said period. Besides salary, the family of the deceased employee will also avail other employee benefits.

Swapnil Walunj of the company announced that Borosil will also sponsor the education of the children of the deceased employee till their graduation. He described the announcement as reassuring.

Many Netizens are hailing the move. "This is a noble intervention and capitalism with a humane face," a LinkedIn user said.
