D.Imman the melody king of Tamil cinema has churned out several hit songs ever since his debut in Thalapathy Vijay's 'Thamizhan' in 2002.  He recently tuned the record breaking songs in Thala Ajith's 'Viswasam' that have become all-time hits as well.

Imman took to Twitter to post an emotional note to his mother who passed away in 2008 remembering both her birthday and anniversary.  He has written "Today (25th May) happens to be the day My Mother ascended to Heaven which was right after her birthday (23rd May). My eyes were rolling down with tears on 23rd May 2008, where she was in coma stage. I cut a cake before her n wished her a happy birthday at the Hospital ICU, obviously, she never knew and I never knew that would be the last time I could ever wish her in my lifetime. I had strong hopes that she will face all the odds n come back soon. But ascended to heaven on 25th May."

The regular hitmaker showed to the world what his mom means to him adding "There are innumerable instances in my life to date that I had missed you. Rest In Peace Amma.  Your Only Child -D. Imman.”

Imman is currently scoring the music for Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Annaathe' directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by Sun Pictures in which Keerthy Suresh and Nayanthara are playing the female leads.  He is also teaming up with Suriya for the first time in 'Suriya 40' produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Pandiraj.
