Fernando Perez Algaba was a hype-generating cryptocurrency influencer coming from Argentina. After missing for more than one week, his remains were recovered inside a suitcase near a stream in Buenos Aires. The case went public when children playing by the stream uncovered the red suitcase packed with body parts.

Police investigations found that Mr Algaba's body has been cleanly amputated. It means the work of a professional. Autopsy findings show he was shot thrice and then chopped up.

According to media reports, Mr. Algaba reportedly was notorious for his luxurious lifestyle as he rented luxury vehicles and sold cryptocurrencies, boasting almost one million followers on Instagram. He had been living in Argentina before his premature demise.

One person has been arrested in relation to the influencer's death. Authorities are looking into a motive after sensing it might be related to his debts.
