Cow Dung: Latest Way to Keep Your Car Cool

A car owner in Ahmedabad has come up with a new application for a traditional practice. She has used cow dung to keep her car cool as temperatures continue to rise. By coating her car with cow dung completely, she has reused a common rural tradition of applying cow dung on the walls and floor to maintain an optimum temperature.

Rupesh Gauranga Das, who shared the images on Facebook, said, “Best use of cow dung I have ever seen. It’s in Amdavad. To counter 45 degrees heat temperatures and protect car from getting hot Mrs. Sejal shah has plastered her car with cow dung. Getting cool ??”

One does worry however about the smell trail that the car will leave on journeys, which may make it difficult for her and others to travel. That being said, kudos to the woman, because if her car is actually cooler, it may mean she has identified an innovative eco-friendly option to protect her car.
