In a remarkable progress, United States scientists have discovered antibodies in the blood of recovered Coronavirus infected patients that that can protect from SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus which causes the disease. This was found during the antibody testing was done on animals and human cell cultures.

It has been said by the researchers from the Scripps Research Institute in the US that these antibodies must be injected to patients in the early stage of COVID-19 so that it can reduce the level of virus and protect before it turns severe.

These antibodies can offer temporary, vaccine-like protection from corona infection for healthcare workers, aged people, and people with reduced or poor response to traditional vaccines, concluded the researchers. The research was published on Monday in the journal Science, and sets the stage for clinical trials and additional tests of the antibodies produced as treatments and preventives for Coronavirus.
