Condolences pour in after Kodi Ramakrishna passes away

The demise of Kodi Ramakrishna has shocked the Telugu film industry.  Superstar Mahesh Babu, Young Tiger NTR and several other big names have condoled the veteran director’s passing away on Friday afternoon.  

Mahesh Babu: Extremely saddened by the news of director Kodi Ramakrishna garu’s demise. His contribution to Telugu Cinema is unparalleled, our industry will never forget his work. My thoughts and prayers are with his closed ones… May his soul rest in peace!

Nani: He was the coolest of his generation. Headband lost its swag today and we all lost a legend .. you will always be remembered sir.

Paruchuri Gopalakrishna: As a director who made more than 100 films, he gave cine life to so many actors.  He will always have a page of his own in the history of Telugu cinema.  

KCR : Telangana Chief Minister KCR hailed Kodi, saying that he had his own style of filmmaking.  ”His life has left a vacuum,” he added.  

CM Chandrababu Naidu : Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu said, “It’s sad to learn about Kodi Ramakrishna garu’s demise.  He made several village-based and family dramas.  He had the unique achievement of making films with almost all actors in the Telugu film industry”.  

Venkatesh: I did ‘Shatruvu’ and ‘Devi Putrudu’ under his direction.  The former fetched him a Filmfare Award.  He showed enormous commitment as a director who made distinct movies.  

Mohan Babu said that he is proud to have got to work with Kodi on some movies.  ”He created so many wonders on the screen.  His demise is an irreparable loss to the industry.  He was very close to me,” he added.

Producer KL Narayana:  He was always very friendly towards everyone in the film industry.  Our film ‘Dongaata’ was a big hit.  He would always be enthusiastic.

T Subbarami Reddy : T Subbarami Reddy too described him as a nice human being who made a diverse range of movies in different genres.  

Nithin: Great loss!! Truly sorry about the demise of Legendary filmmaker Kodi Ramakrishna garu. My deep condolences to his family. Rest In Peace sir.
