Vande Bharat trains have been promoted as the next big public transport revolution in India. However, the lack of cleanliness may be putting off several commuters.

In a pic shared by a news handle, we see loads of littering inside the train from Gandhinagar in Gujarat to Mumbai. The level of littering negatively affects the appeal of Vande Bharat trains in the eyes of commuters. If you are someone who is put off by lack of hygiene, you would surely opt for bus travel after looking at the pic.

Commenting on the pic, a Netizen said that hefty fines, a minimum of Rs. 10K, must be slapped on unruly passengers. "CCTV must be monitored. Railways must stick boards/posters warning commuters of tough action if they litter," the Netizen tweeted.

Netizens are of the view that luxurious trains have to be maintained with diligence by the railway staff. In this, we have to learn from countries like Japan. "In the present-day world, we need to follow Japan and South Korea when it comes to cleanliness. I have no idea why our people are so much pathetic when it comes to cleanliness," a Twitter user writes.

There are others who are saying that the Vande Bharat trains are generally maintained well. "This pic is an exception," a Netizen says.
