Chiyaan Vikram is all set to kickstart hectic promotional activities for his 'Cobra' directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu releasing on August 31st. The film has music by A.R. Rahman and is produced by Seven Screen Studios. Vikram and Srinidhi Shetty play the lead pair supported by Irfan Pathan, Robo Shankar, Mrinalini Ravi and Roshan Mathews.

Vikram is also one of the main leads in Mani Ratnam's epic multistarrer 'Ponniyin Selvan' costarring Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Trisha among others. The much awaited historical film is hitting the screens on September 30th in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

Vikram will start shooting for his next big project 'Chiyaan 61' directed by Pa. Ranjith and produced by K.E. Gnanavelraja from the first week of September. GVP is scoring the music for the period film set in KGF during the 19th century.

Meanwhile the strong buzz in Kollywood is that Ajay Gnanamuthu will be directing 'Chiyaan 62' which is likely to be produced on a grand scale by AGS Entertainment. It is said that Vikram was very much impressed by his strong screenplay and execution of 'Cobra' and gave his nod for a totally different subject in his career.
