Director Cheran, who had directed the direct to home flick JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai before three years, had returned to direction earlier this month, with the release of the family entertainer Thirumanam, starring Umapathy, Kavya Suresh, Suganya and Cheran himself in a very important character.
Released on March 1 alongside the highly controversial 90 ML directed by Anita Udeep and starring Oviya, and the action thriller Thadam from Magizh Thirumeni - Arun Vijay combo, Thirumanam could not grab many screens as the team desired, and the movie did not receive the recognition it deserved, felt the makers.
Now, it has been revealed that Cheran and team are planning to re-release Thirumanam in 75 theaters in Tamil Nadu, on April 12. Tamil cinema has witnessed re-released movies turning successful, as it was seen in the case of Mysskin's debut Chithiram Pesuthadi. Let's see if Cheran can score a success this time.
