Former India captain Virat Kohli on Thursday reflected the thoughts of thousands of MS Dhoni fans, wishing the Chennai Super Kings star after he quit as the skipper of the 4-time Indian Premier League champions.
Twelve seasons, four title triumphs and five runner-up finishes later, the iconic Mahendra Singh Dhoni has decided to hand over the captaincy of Chennai Super Kings to his trusted lieutenant, Ravindra Jadeja. CSK confirmed the move, while also adding that Dhoni "will continue to represent Chennai Super Kings this season and beyond".
Virat Kohli who idolizes his former captain MS Dhoni took to his social media handle and wrote "Legendary captaincy tenure in yellow skip. A chapter fans will never forget. Respect always," Kohli said in a social media post.
MS Dhoni is the most celebrated Indian captain. He led India to glory in the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy. In the IPL, Dhoni has been synonymous with the Super Kings, leading them to 4 title triumphs.
