An one of the senior most artistes of Telugu film industry, it was unbecoming on the part of Chalapathi Rao to pass misogynistic and in-your-face comments about women during yesterday's pre-release event of 'Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam'.

"Ammayilu hanikaram kadu kani.. Pakkalo ki panikostharu (Girls are not injurious, but are fit to sleep around with men)", the veteran said, intending to let his take on Nag Chaitanya's line in the movie known.

If he didn't intend to say them, the veteran should duly apologize for crossing his limits. Foot-in-mouth remarks are made casually in such informal events, but this is way too unsavoury.

It may be recalled that a senior star issued an apology for making similar (vulgar) comments during an audio function last year. Chalapathi Rao holds him in high regard and has been associated with their family for decades. Let's see whether Rao will take a leaf out of that senior star's book and issues an apology.
