Ajith Kumar, director H Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor have teamed three successive times after 2019 with Thunivu being their recent blockbuster Pongal release, Thunivu. 'Nerkonda Paarvai' and 'Valimai' are the previous films from the combo and one of those films is in legal trouble now.

Now, a plagiarism complaint has been filed against the Valimai team at the Police commissioner's office in Chennai. Reportedly, the complaint is registered by a short film director named Rajesh Raja, who claims that almost 10 scenes from his short film titled 'Thanga Sangili' were similar to the scenes in Ajith Kumar's Valimai.

It is said that Rajesh Raja took legal action as he was unable to meet the film's director H Vinoth after trying several times. Notably, he has made this complaint now when it is almost a year since the movie's release. Valimai focuses on the battle between a police officer's family to save the city from an outlaw biker gang. It had music by Yuvan and DOP by Nirav Shah.
