We already informed you that the renowned playback singer Bombay Jayashri suffered a health ailment on Friday while she was on her United Kingdom tour. As per the reports, she was found unconscious in her room and hospitalised. She had a brain haemorrhage and underwent surgery.

Now, Bombay Jayashri's side has released an official statement about her health status. The press release says, "The medical interventions have been very effective. Jayashri Ramnath's road to recovery is on the right track. The NHS staff have been incredible. The Indian government has been by our side every step of the way. We thank everyone for their love, support and prayers."

On March 25, a tweet from Jayashri's handle said that she is stable and recovering well due to timely medical interventions. It is expected that she will be flown back to Chennai as soon as she recovers. The 58-year-old singer is a recipient of Padma Shri and is also set to be bestowed on The Music Academy's most prestigious honour, Sangeetha Kalanidhi.
