Bollywood director Nishikant Kamat is in critical condition

Bollywood director Nishikant Kamat has been hospitalized due to liver cirrhosis. He is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad. Reports say that the filmmaker is in a critical condition, and has been put on ventilator support.

Kamat, who is known for Ajay Devgn's 'Drishyam', 'Madaari' and other films, is also an actor. Movie buffs are fond of his critically-acclaimed Marathi film 'Dombivali Fast', which went on to win the National Film Award for Best Feature Film. Also seen in films like 'Rocky Handsome', Kamat's next as a director is 'Darbadar'.

Reacting to the news, filmmaker Ashoke Pandit tweeted, "Get well soon my friend filmmaker #NishikantKamat. He is admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad and is supposed to be in a critical condition."

We wish Kamat a speedy recovery.
