Actor Amitabh Bachchan, his son Abhishek Bachchan and his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai were infected with the coronavirus in 2020 when the first wave of coronavirus occurred in India. The three were discharged after being treated in the hospital for almost a month back then.

Now, actor Amitabh Bachchan has again been affected by coronavirus after 2 years. In the last few days, many celebrities in India including Sonia Gandhi and Chief Minister MK Stalin have been affected by COVID-19. On August 23, Amitabh Bachchan joined the list again.

Last night, Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his Twitter after he has been affected by Corona, "T 4388 - I have just tested CoViD + positive .. all those that have been in my vicinity and around me, please get yourself checked and tested also .." (sic). Following this, fans are keeping Amitabh Bachchan in their prayers so that he recovers to good health soon.
