Vanitha, a contestant of Bigg Boss Tamil 3, hosted by veteran actor Kamal Haasan, was evicted in the third week, re-entered the house as a wild-card contestant and was yet again eliminated a couple of weeks later.

The actress, in a recent live chat with fans, opened up on her experience working with Thalapathy Vijay. Vanitha made her debut in cinema with the 1995 movie Chandralekha, where she played Vijay's love interest. Vanitha states that it will always remain a memorable achievement of hers and that she was proud of Vijay's growth and his transformation to 'Thalapathy' to the current generation. She adds that she has always been a fan of Vijay and will continue to remain so.

Answering another question from a fan about her equation with her brother and actor, Arun Vijay, Vanitha says that despite the strain in their relationship due to family issues, she loves him.
