Harsh Roshan and Nakshatra are gearing up to entertain audiences with their upcoming film ‘Thella Kagitham’, which is scheduled to hit theatres on October 2. Produced by Krishna Kommalapati under the Arunachala Creations banner, the film is directed by Ramesh Bandreddy, with Nandu Savirigana handling the story, screenplay and dialogues.

The film’s pre-release event was held in Hyderabad on Wednesday and was attended by several prominent names from the Telugu film industry, including producer and TFDC Chairman Dil Raju, directors Anil Ravipudi, Koratala Siva, Chandoo Mondeti, Vassishta, Sailesh Kolanu and Ram Jagadish, along with producer Bandla Ganesh and other members of the film fraternity.

Speaking at the event, Harsh Roshan said that he deliberately chose a story with strong emotions and social relevance instead of opting for a routine commercial film. He also addressed the discussion surrounding a recently leaked video from the movie and requested audiences to watch the complete film before forming an opinion based on a single clip.

Harsh recalled that Prabhas sharing the film’s trailer had given the team a major boost. He expressed confidence that audiences would understand the context of the controversial clip after watching the entire film in theatres.

Nakshatra, who is making her debut with the film, said that although the story is set against the backdrop of 2006, its emotions and message are relevant to both the present generation and those to come. She described the film as one that can be watched by the entire family and thanked the director, producer and writer for giving her the opportunity to play the character of Aasha.

The actress also recalled being nervous during the initial days of the shoot but said that Harsh Roshan and the rest of the team supported and guided her throughout the process.

Director Ramesh Bandreddy expressed his gratitude to producer Krishna Kommalapati for trusting him and providing the support required to make the film. He praised the performances of Harsh Roshan and Nakshatra and said that the entire cast had worked with dedication.

The director also addressed the recent social media discussion surrounding a leaked video from the film. He requested audiences to watch the complete movie before judging its content and said that the film would remain engaging until the final shot.

Dil Raju said that the story reminded him of the innocence associated with love stories set in the early 2000s. He appreciated the natural performances of the young cast and praised director Ramesh for bringing out strong performances from the actors.

According to Dil Raju, the film also has an emotional point that will make audiences think after leaving the theatre. He wished the entire team success ahead of the October 2 release.

Director Anil Ravipudi highlighted the film’s emotional connection with family and parents. He said the story deals with situations where children may make mistakes due to their age and fear discussing their problems with their parents. The film, according to him, presents the idea that parents ultimately stand by their children and protect them.

Anil Ravipudi also praised writer Nandu for coming up with a meaningful story and appreciated Harsh Roshan’s performance. He particularly mentioned actor Ajay, who plays a father in the film, saying that the character would be a special surprise for audiences.

Koratala Siva praised the young team and said the film impressed him with its natural presentation and performances. He appreciated the way director Ramesh extracted performances from the debut actors without making the proceedings feel artificial. He also praised the chemistry between Harsh Roshan and Nakshatra and complimented Vijay Bulganin’s music.

Chandoo Mondeti said that a dialogue from the film’s trailer immediately caught his attention and made him interested in watching the movie. He also praised producer Krishna for assembling a strong cast despite the film being led by a debut director and an upcoming actor.

Directors Vassishta and Sailesh Kolanu also extended their best wishes to the team. Sailesh Kolanu said he had seen some of the film’s content during the shooting stage and found it promising. He particularly appreciated Harsh Roshan’s performance and described the film as a fresh love story and drama.

Bandla Ganesh spoke about his long association with producer Krishna and encouraged director Ramesh not to be affected by social media trolling or negativity. He praised Krishna’s dedication to cinema and wished the film a successful theatrical run.

Writer Nandu Savirigana said that ‘Thellakaagitham’ is much more than a conventional love story. According to him, the film focuses on family relationships, parental love and the sacrifices made by family members for their children. He said the film is dedicated to parents who selflessly work and live for their children.

The film also features a supporting cast including actors Sharanya, Sravya, Deepak and Raghu Ram. Vijay Bulganin has composed the music, while Guhan handles cinematography and Karthik Srinivas is the editor.

With its combination of youthful romance, family emotions and a social message, ‘Thellakaagitham’ is set to arrive in theatres on October 2. The film’s premieres are scheduled for October 1, ahead of its worldwide theatrical release.
