During a candid conversation with co-contestant Sidharth Shukla, Bigg Boss 14 contestant Eijaz Khan opened up about the problems he faced in his relationship with his ex-girlfriend when he broke up with her and refused to marry her.

During the 'Weekend ka Vaar' episode with host Salman Khan, he also revealed that the incident broke him from within as his former girlfriend accused him of rape when he told her he wasn't willing to marry her. Adding that he was not aware of the consequences, Eijaz Khan said, "We somehow managed to handle the situation, but I had to leave the premiere of my film Tanu Weds Manu and move to Dharamsala for some time." He said that despite having great respect for women, he also has trust issues due to his past experiences. In an interview with an entertainment portal in 2018, Eijaz Khan talked about the same. "Due to some reasons, she shifted to my apartment and we got into a relationship. But I realised after few months that it was not what I wanted. I started telling her that it was not meant to be. But she got carried away and tried to file a police complaint against me because of which I could not attend Tanu Weds Manu promotions. I had to leave Mumbai for a couple of days because of that." Following his statement, Eijaz's former girlfriend was then quoted as saying, "Yes, we had an ugly tiff which got out of hand. But things have been sorted out now and everything is normal between us. I have gone back to stay with him and it was a normal fight like any other couple would have. I don't discuss personal matters with anyone but on that day we had a small argument," she had said.

Remembering the incident, Eijaz Khan told Sidharth Shukla that he is always restrained around women due to the incident that happened in 2011. "I used to help all women and protect those that needed it. There was one such and later I was charged with rape because I promised I'd marry her but didn't. She made it into a rape case and I had to go to jail," he added.
