'Bandobast', starring Suriya in an intriguing role and Mohanlal as the Prime Minister of India, is set to release in August. Directed by KV Anand, the film's satellite rights have been closed successfully.

Gemini TV, the prominent General Entertainment Channel, has laid its hands on the satellite rights by a paying a fancy price.

The film will release amid high expectations, especially after the recent Teaser that is suspenseful, gripping and larger-than-life.

Arya, Sayyesha Saigal and Boman Irani also feature in the film. The action-drama has music by Harris Jayaraj. Produced by Lyca Productions's Subaskaran, it has been written by PKP, and Sri Ramakrishna. Stunts are by Dhilip Subbarayan, and Peter Heins. Cinematography is by MS Prabhu.
