Bajaj Auto is all set to launch a new 2021 version of the Pulsar 250. The new-generation Pulsar will debut on October 28. Also, the NS250 and 250F are slated to arrive together. The new Bajaj Pulsar 250 will be the biggest displacement Pulsar made till date. This model is the biggest Pulsar model in the manufacturer's lineup.
Reports suggest that the upcoming bike will sport a semi-faired design with a mid-size front fairing, projector headlamp, telescopic front forks, alloy wheels and mono-shock rear suspension. The Pulsar 250 may come based on a completely new platform. The company decided to launch the new series around Diwali this year that marks the 20th anniversary of the Pulsar brand.
The bike will be powered by a 250cc oil-cooled single-cylinder engine that will be coupled with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper and an assist clutch. The engine is likely to pump out 28PS of power and 20Nm of peak torque. The new Pulsar 250 will compete against the KTM 200 Duke, Suzuki Gixxer 250, and Yamaha FZ25.
The managing director Rajiv Bajaj said, “On the 20th anniversary of the Pulsar, in November of this year, we are set to launch the all-new Pulsar platform. This will be the biggest Pulsar we have ever made.” Since the details about the bike are still very limited, the pricing aspect may be tough to get right. Bajaj Auto is expected to price it around ₹1.50 lakh.
