Australian cricketer and Royal Challengers Bangalore leg-spinner Adam Zampa married his longtime girlfriend Hattie in New South Wales last week after postponing the wedding twice previously due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Adam Zampa and Hattie Zampa got married before the former could leave for the tour of West Indies. The designer of Hattie's wedding gown shared a couple of pictures of the duo with a caption that read, "These two (Hattie and Adam) deserve all the happiness in the world! Third time planning a wedding thanks to Covid and they finally tied the knot last week. Custom ceremony gown, intricately beaded and dripped in silky layers of blush tulle with a custom blush veil." Adam Zampa had earlier announced his decision to drop out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in order to prioritise his mental health.

The leg-spinner had said in April, "I feel like for anyone leaving halfway through a tournament, it's definitely a financial sacrifice. But from my point of view I wanted to put my mental health first. Obviously the COVID situation over here is pretty dire. I just felt, rocking up to training and stuff, obviously, I wasn’t playing in the team as well, I was going to training and I wasn't finding the motivation. (There were) a few other things like bubble fatigue and the chance to get home, once all the news broke about the flights and everything. I thought this was the best time to make the call."
