Television actor Ashwin Kumar became very popular after participating in the 'Cooku With Comali 2' reality show.  Singer Sivaangi who featured on the show as one of the jokers sent out onscreen romantic vibes at him which the viewers enjoyed very much benefitting both the stars.

Ashwin who has over a million followers on Instagram signed a three film deal with famous production house Trident Arts owned by Ravindhran.  The first film from the deal is a romace titled 'Enna Solla Pogirai' directed by debutante A. Hariharan with Teju Ashwini and Avantika Mishra as the leading ladies.

Last week during the audio launch of 'Enna Solla Pogirai', Ashwin made a controversial speech saying that he has heard 40 stories before choosing this film and all the narrators made him sleep due to weak scripts.  Some percieved the other parts of his speech as being self centered and arrogant.  The debutante director also went overboard claiming that he felt like he was directing a superstar when working with Ashwin.

Ashwin however rendered an apology stating that he was nervous due to this being his first film and he had no control over his words in the excitement.

Trident Arts had planned to release 'Enna Solla Pogirai' on December 24th, Christmas weekend.  Now due to the negative publicity after Ashwin's controversial speech it is said in Kollywood circles that it has been decided to pushe the release of the film to sometime in 2022.
