Arya Confirms Sarpatta 2 Filming to Begin in August

Directed by Pa. Ranjith, the film ‘Sarpatta Parambarai’ featured a strong cast including Arya, Pasupathi, Kalaiyarasan, John Kokken, and Dushara. It was released directly on Amazon Prime Video due to the COVID-19 pandemic and received critical acclaim. Each character in the movie was praised by fans, and many expressed that the experience would have been even more celebrated had it been released in theaters.

A few years ago, Pa. Ranjith announced plans for a sequel to the film. However, the project faced delays as the director was busy working on his film ‘Thangalaan’. He is currently directing another film titled ‘Vettuvam’.

Recently, during a press meet for actor Santhanam’s upcoming movie ‘DD Next Level’, actor Arya revealed that filming for ‘Sarpatta 2’ will begin in August. He mentioned that Pa. Ranjith is expected to begin work on the sequel after completing ‘Vettuvam’.

Fans are eagerly anticipating the next chapter in the Sarpatta saga, hoping it will once again deliver the intense storytelling and performances of the original.
