Bollywood Actress Swara Bhasker has once again landed herself in controversy as she compared the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan to Hindutva. People are demanding the arrest of Swara and the Hashtag 'ArrestSwaraBhaskar' is trending on Twitter.

Swara Bhasker is constantly in news for her opinions on social media and she recently made a comment on the ongoing Afghanistan crisis. It is quite a tough time for Afghanistan as the Taliban took control of the strife-torn country following the withdrawal of US troops and military forces from the capital city, Kabul. Swara compared the situation to India in her tweet.

She wrote, "We can’t be okay with Hindutva terror & be all shocked & devastated at Taliban terror... & We can’t be chill with #Taliban terror, and then be all indignant about #Hindutva terror! Our humanitarian & ethical values should not be based on identity of the oppressor or oppressed."

The tweet quickly spread on Twitter earning a lot of condemnation from people for attaching the word "terror" with Hinduism. She also gained the hatred of Twitterati. Soon, #ArrestSwaraBhasker started to trend as thousands demanded to arrest the actor.

Responding to Bhasker's tweet, one Twitter user wrote, "This is one time too many. We should not normalise equating terrorism with our Hindu identity especially when there is no iota of truth in it. #ArrestSwaraBhasker." It is also notable that Swara received backlash in 2020 when a clip of Swara opposing the CAA bill went viral on social media.
