Director AMR Ramesh is well known for his films 'Kuppi' and 'Vana Yudham'. He has produced and directed the Tamil-Kannada bilingual titled as 'Oru Melliya Kodu' which stars Arjun, Shaam and Manisha Koirala in lead roles.

The film is based on Spanish thriller 'El Cupero'. Isaignani Ilaiyaraja has rendered the musical score. The film was ready for release in April first week but it has not hit the theatres till now.

Finally there seems to be a light at the end of tunnel for the makers of this film as their efforts to clear all the problems and release it have paid off and the film can be expected to hit the screens this Friday (July 1, 2016).

The Kannada version of the film titled as 'Game' was released in February this year and it has garnered positive reviews from critics.

The other prominent Tamil releases of this week are Samuthirakani's 'Appa' and Sibiraj's 'Jackson Durai'. Small budget flicks 'Onbadhilirundhu Pathu Varai'. Ram Gopal Varma's 'Villadhi Villain Veerappan' (dubbed version of 'Killin Veerappan') will also be releasing this week.
