A recent skit by Sudigali Sudheer and his team on a TV show hosted by anchor Ravi has sparked significant controversy, particularly among Hindu communities. The skit, part of the Super Serial Championship, depicted a scene where, instead of the traditional and spiritually revered sight of Lord Shiva through Nandi’s horns, a girl appears—an act many found disrespectful to religious sentiments.
This particular portrayal hit a sensitive nerve because, devotees strongly raised objections over the same. Replacing that image in a comedic or spoof format has been seen by many as an affront to sacred traditions.
As backlash grew, with Hindu organizations issuing strong warnings, anchor Ravi released a video apology, acknowledging the hurt caused.
In his statement, he clarified that the intention was never to offend Hindu beliefs and emphasized that the scene was a spoof from a movie, not something created with a derogatory intent. He assured the public that the team would exercise caution in the future.
