Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's mother who was admitted to the hospital with a deteriorating health condition left for her heavenly abode on Wednesday. The news of her death has shattered the Hindi film industry and many celebrities are marching their way to pay the last respect for Aruna Bhatia.

Confirming this sad news actor Akshay took to Twitter and wrote “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.”

Akshay Kumar who was in the UK shooting for his upcoming film ‘Cinderella's with Ranjit Tewari flew back to India earlier this week to be with his mom. On Tuesday, Akshay Kumar wrote about his mother's health in an Instagram post that reads "Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom's health. This is a very tough hour for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help."

The last rites of late Aruna Bhatia are taking place at Mumbai's Pawan Hans crematorium. Family, relatives and Akshay's folks from Bollywood including Rohit Shetty, Riteish Deshmukh, Sajid Khan have arrived to pay their last respects.
