Ajith, Vikram Prabhu and Jai share the same day

Today seems to be a auspicious Subha Muhurtham day as per the Hindu calendar. Kollywood is always obsessed with customs and traditions and hence anything related to films are started only on auspicious day.

Today has many as three prominent films have been launched with the formal pooja.

The most expected 'Thala 57' the 57th flick of Ajithkumar directed by Siva has been launched today after a long wait. This is the 32nd production venture of the prestigious Sathya Jyothi Films banner. The pooja has been conducted at the Shirdi Saibaba temple located at ECR. All the prominent crew members including the director Siva, Music director Anirudh and others promptly marked the attendance for the launch event.

Actor Vikram Prabhu the third generation actor of the prestigious Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan family, has today launched a new production banner of his own and also the first film he will be producing. The film has been titled as 'Neruppu Da' the phrase that has become world famous as it is the first line of theme song of Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kabali.'

'Neruppu Da' will have Vikram Prabhu and Nikki Galrani in lead roles. Sean Roldon will render the musical score. The film will be directed by Ashok, a former associate of director Lakshman.

'Kabali' producer Kalaipuli.S.Thanu, veteran producer AVM Saravanan and other dignitaries from Kollywood participated in this event.

The third film launched today is the Jai-Anjali starrer that will be directed by newcomer Sinish. The film will come under the new romantic horror genre. The yet to be titled film is being produced by the newly launched 70MM and Farmers Master Plan production banners.
