Parasakthi, a film centered around the 1965 language protests-a significant milestone in cinematic and regional history—has achieved a massive feat at the box office.

Released on January 10th to coincide with the Pongal festival, the movie received an overwhelming response from the audience. In just 11 days since its release, the film has crossed the ₹100-crore mark in global box office collections. With this achievement, actor Sivakarthikeyan has emerged as an actor with a “hat-trick” of 100-crore hits in his career.

The meticulous direction by Sudha Kongara (of Soorarai Pottru fame) is considered the film’s greatest strength.Sivakarthikeyan’s mature acting, Ravi Mohan (Jayam Ravi) as a menacing villain, and the contributions of Atharvaa and Sreeleela have greatly impressed fans.

Marking his 100th film, G.V. Prakash Kumar’s background score and songs perfectly captured the raw emotion of the language struggle on screen.

While ‘Parasakthi’ has sparked debates among the public, history buffs, and youth—and has faced mixed reviews—it has firmly established itself as a commercial blockbuster. Notably, the film continues to draw significant crowds and maintain steady collections even on weekdays following the Pongal holidays
